City Resources:

  • Strategic Plan: The Vision Zero Action Plan is consistent with the City's 5-year Strategic Plan:
    • A Safe Community That Thrives
      • Goal 10: Work to maintain a safe and efficient local transportation network and address safety concerns
        • Objective 1: Support ongoing opportunities to enhance the safety and efficiency of City streets for all modes of travel.
  • Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP): A comprehensive plan that creates a framework to systemically identify and analyze traffic safety-related issues and recommend projects and countermeasures. 
  • General Plan: Emphasizes the importance of safe, efficient, comfortable, and convenient mobility for all ages, abilities, and identities, as well as planning for complete streets that support all transportation systems. 
  • Active Transportation Plan: provides a comprehensive framework, supported by policies, data, and programs, to enhance Livermore's walking, biking, and trail systems.

  • National Association of City Transportation Officials NACTO: Association of 81 major North American cities and transit agencies formed to exchange transportation ideas, insights, and practices and cooperatively approach national transportation issues. 
  • Vision Zero Network: Collaborative campaign designed to build momentum and advance this game-changing shift toward safe, healthy, and equitable mobility for all. The Network brings together local leaders in health, traffic engineering, police enforcement, policy, and advocacy to develop and share strategies, policies, and practices that make Vision Zero a reality.
