City Sidewalk Marking
The City of Livermore has an annual sidewalk program which is included in the Capital Improvement Plan. City maintained sidewalk locations are prioritized and programmed for repairs as the annual budget allows.
The California Streets and Highways Code places responsibility for repair of sidewalks on the adjacent property owner. For sidewalks for which the City is not responsible, the City is sending out notices to property owners to repair sidewalks adjacent to their properties. The sidewalk repair informational pamphlet can be found here.
Over 37 miles of sidewalk that the City is responsible to repair has been mapped out. Updates on the repairs can be found on the Sidewalk Repair program page. Please note, this sidewalk repair project is only for sidewalks that are the City's responsibility (ex. those adjacent to public property).
If you have any questions, please contact the City's Engineering Division at (925) 960-4500.
