Measure B, BB, and Vehicle Registration Fee Projects
Your Tax Dollars at Work
City has maintenance responsibilities for approximately 680 lane miles of streets and for the traffic signals, streetlights, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities located on city streets. In November 2014, Alameda County voters approved Measure BB, which renewed the half-cent transportation sales tax approved in 2000 (Measure B) and increased the tax by a half cent. The City of Livermore will utilize Measure B, Measure BB funds and county-wide $10 per year vehicle registration fee (VRF) funding (approved by voters in 2010) to continue the annual street pavement maintenance program as well future intersection and traffic safety improvement projects. This funding will also be used to maintain existing bicycle and pedestrian facilities and for new bicycle and pedestrian safety projects, including bike lane striping and other improvements as called for in the City’s Bicycle, Pedestrian, & Trails Active Transportation Plan. Approximately $13M of Measure B/BB and VRF funds are planned for FY 2025-27 projects:
