The City of Livermore will be replacing 68 water service lines in the Springtown neighborhood between Springtown Boulevard and Rhododendron Drive. The type of water service lines previously installed have been found to have a higher failure rate than other surrounding areas.  To avoid unexpected emergency repairs and service loss to residents, the City is performing preventative maintenance by replacing the lines.

The City has contracted with Devaney Engineering, Inc. to perform the work which involves replacing water service pipes from the city main to the property water meter. During construction, access to businesses and properties will be maintained at all times for property residents/owners and emergency services. Routine services such as mail deliver, trash, and recycling will be coordinated with service providers. Upon completion of the project, all areas impacted will be restored to their existing condition.
