The South Livermore Sewer Extension project is an Alameda County led and funded project that is being designed, constructed, and managed in collaboration with the City of Livermore. The new sewer line will connect to the existing 12-inch sewer on East Avenue at Buena Vista, extend south along Buena Vista, then east along Tesla to Greenville, south along Greenville to Poppy Ridge, and north on Greenville to the Martinelli Center. The project will help protect water quality, support agriculture, and contribute to the revitalization of the wine country economy.  The sewer extension will also provide sewage treatment and disposal services for uses in unincorporated Alameda County outside of the City’s South Livermore Urban Growth boundary. This is consistent with the provisions of the South Livermore Valley Area Plan, adopted in February 1993.
