The State of California's Regional Water Quality Control Board issues the City of Livermore a Stormwater Permit which requires that trash capture devices be installed in a portion of each city's retail and commercial area storm drain systems. These devices reduce the amount of trash washed into creeks during a storm events.

This project implements the last phase of trash capture projects identified in the November 2022, Stormwater Trash Reduction Plan for the City of Livermore. Work includes installing 8 large scale trash capture devices. These devices capture trash that enters the storm drain systems.
