The Sidewalk Repair project involves repairs to existing City sidewalks including the curb/gutter and street trees. This includes sidewalks citywide which are predominantly City maintained including decorative sidewalks in the Downtown Specific Plan area and involves slicing, remove, and repair. One of the highlights of this project is adding a new sidewalk from 2151 South Vasco Road down to Research Drive with a crosswalk, adding approximately 500 lineal feet of sidewalk. This area is busy on weekends, with several popular wineries in this area and building this walkway will provide a safe pathway for pedestrians. Additional improvements include:

  • sidewalk path improvements adjacent to 2411 South Vasco Road and 6350 Charlotte Way,
  • Greenville Road shoulder repair,
  • adding a crosswalk and ramps on Maple Street,
  • final modifications to a crosswalk on L Street Crosswalk, and
  • any other high priority public sidewalk replacements.

Staff will utilize remaining CIP budget between sidewalk slicing and remove and replace projects. More information including project maps can be found under the additional resources tab below.
