Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest, Loaded Firearm, and Narcotics Seizure
On June 24, 2026, around 8:20 a.m., Livermore Police conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle run a stop sign near Holmes Street and Alden Lane.
The driver, 35-year-old Francisco Perez of Pleasanton, was found to be driving with a suspended driver's license due to a prior DUI.
Because Perez could not legally operate the vehicle, it was towed pursuant to department policy. During the required inventory of the vehicle, officers located a loaded Glock handgun and more than one ounce of cocaine packaged for sale.
Further investigation revealed Perez is a convicted felon.
