Attention all Livermore Municipal Water customers, starting mid-April the water team will perform routine water system end of line flushing work in its service neighborhoods.
Not sure who provides your water? Go here to determine your provider.
The work of flushing is a type of preventative maintenance our staff use to protect your water quality. Flushing scours the inside of the pipe - removing sediment, replacing any aged water, and reducing any taste or odor issues.
Livermore Municipal Water customers may notice a slight discoloration of water from your faucets. Staff recommend running water for a few minutes until it runs clear again. The cloudiness or discoloration happens when fine sediment in the pipes is disturbed.
If water does not clear within 24 hours, customers should contact us at Livermore Municipal Water (925) 960-8100 or visit this webpage for more details: https://www.livermoreca.gov/departments/public-works/water-resources/livermore-municipal-water
